The man they call the Forgotten Tenor hopes to celebrate his 90th birthday today with a visit to the grand opera house where he was once a star.
Over nearly 30 years at the Royal Opera House, Edgar Evans sang more than 45 major roles - more than any other - including Rodolpho in La Boheme, which he will hear sung tonight by Ramn Vargas.
