The New England Council announced today that White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card has been named a "New Englander of the Year" and will receive the Moakley-Chafee Award for Public Service. Receiving the private sector "New Englander of the Year" awards this year are: Michael G. Morris, chairman, president and CEO, Northeast Utilities and Cathy Minehan, president, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. The awards will be presented at the Council's 2002 Annual Dinner scheduled for September 23 in Boston.
