Home video gets very disturbing this week.
A new special-edition DVD of "Blue Velvet" (MGM, R) is great news for fans of director David Lynch. Unless they bought MGM's bare-bones disc last year. His 1986 nightmare ride through suburban tranquility deserves another look after the success of "Mulholland Drive."
The 70-minute documentary, "Mysteries of Love," uses old video footage of Lynch and new interviews with cast and crew members talking about his bizarre style. Isabella Rossellini (Dorothy) recalls Lynch laughing inexplicably during the filming of her ritual rape scene with psycho Frank Booth (Dennis Hopper).
