According to the commitments China has made for the WTO entry, the State Economic and Trade Commission and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation have recently published the import quotas for oil products and automobile tires in 2002. What should be noted is that import quotas for oil products include gasoline and diesel. It is the first time for China to restore the import of gasoline and diesel since September 1998.
