Bucky Badger, the beloved mascot of UW-Madison, has mysteriously vanished.
Officials suspect foul play.
One of the four or so mascot costumes was apparently stolen from its off-duty location at Camp Randall Stadium sometime between May 30 and June 4, said UW-Madison Police Sgt. Pete Ystenes in a release.
"It's not something you could stick under your shirt and sneak out easily," Athletic Department spokesman Vince Sweeney said.
Whoever stole the badger will be in for a steamy time if they suit up in the heat, Sweeney said.
