MATCHWINNER Allan Jacobsen dug Scotland out of trouble in Victoria yesterday as the tourists received a timely wake up call before Saturday's Test showdown with Canada.
The Edinburgh prop's late try rescued Ian McGeechan's men in a bruising clash against a tough West side who were helped enormously by some incompetent refereeing.
And coach McGeechan hailed the victory as a "massive win" after watching his young string preserve Scotland's unbeaten record on their North American tour.
