PCI RESEARCHERS TEST IMPROVED METHOD FOR EARLY DETECTION
OF COLORECTAL CANCER
PITTSBURGH, Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (PCI) researcher Mitchell Posner, M.D., and colleagues are testing a new diagnostic method that can detect colorectal cancers long before other methods commonly available today, it was announced.
According to Posner, "Colorectal carcinoma is the second most common malignancy of the adult population in the United States. It is hoped that the results of this study will yield a diagnostic tool that will lead to early detection, thus greatly improving the prognosis for these patients."
