Finalized Congressional district boundaries puts Cayuga County into two new districts, effective Jan. 1.
One is the 25th District, where a familiar face, Rep. James T. Walsh, R-Onondaga, is the incumbent.
The new 25th District includes the towns of Conquest, Ira, Sterling, Cato and Victory.
But the city of Auburn and the remaining 18 towns in Cayuga County will be in the new 24th District where the incumbent is Rep. Sherwood L. Boehlert, R-New Hartford. Boehlert has been in Congress since 1982 but has never represented any part of Cayuga County.
