DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings may have been the athletic equivalent of a bunch of 10-year-olds on Christmas Eve, but the veteran-laden club was doing its best yesterday to keep its toes on the ground.
There's enough experience in the Wings' room to know that capturing the Stanley Cup, which they can do tonight in Game 5 at Joe Louis Arena against the Carolina Hurricanes, is not quite as inevitable as Christmas morning arriving.
