Roland Drops Price On D-50, Launches Major Promotion
Three years ago, Roland introduced the highly successful D-50 synthesizer. In the ensuing years, over 300,000 of the D series products have been sold worldwide. Looking to extend the product's life and sell even more units, Roland has slashed the D-50 price to $999 suggested retail and launched a major direct mail promotion.
Between the months of August and October, Roland will mail an announcement of the new price on the D-50 to the one million subscribers to the Roland User Group magazine. The mailer will offer customers a gift if they purchase a D-50.
