TAPIE, ADIDAS BUYER, PROBED ON TRADING OF STOCK ON BOURSE
PARIS (FNS) -- A French stock market watchdog agency is investigating possible insider trading in the stock of Bernard Tapie Finance, the French investment company that has agreed to buy 80 percent of Adidas AG.
The Commission des Operations de Bourse, the equivalent of the Securities and Exchange Commission in the U.S., said it was a routine inquiry and all aspects of the deal involving French investor Bernard Tapie and his bid for the West German-based sports and apparel company were being studied.
