KILL DEVIL HILLS -- KILL DEVIL HILLS - Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home has filed a civil complaint in Dare County Superior Court seeking to reverse the town's denial of its plans to build a funeral home and crematorium.
Hollomon-Brown attorney Charles McDarris of Raleigh said in the complaint that Kill Devil Hills exceeded its authority when it banned funeral homes from the town code, a move that ultimately blocked the project by making it a prohibited use.
