Jun. 17--Homegrown Pemstar Inc. is embarking on a plan to recover from the poorest quarter in its history as a public company.

Its fix-up obviously will be directed from corporate headquarters in Rochester, but it also has already involved Pemstar's local factories.

In the wake of its $47 million loss in the just-completed quarter, the company cut its worldwide work force by 200 employees. That was in addition to 600 cut earlier in the year.

Although most of the latest cuts were taken at overseas factories, layoffs made last month did include 30 to 35 ...
