AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 18, 2002
Multimedia Games Inc. (Nasdaq:MGAM) ("MGAM") announced today that three tribes have filed a motion to intervene in MGAM's pending lawsuit against the National Indian Gaming Commission ("NIGC") requesting the Courts to confirm the Class II status of MegaNanza.
In addition, MGAM and the tribes filed a motion for a temporary restraining order and an injunction to prevent the Government from taking further enforcement actions against MGAM or the tribes. MGAM's current suit was filed in Federal District Court against the NIGC on April 18, 2002.
