American Foods Group Inc. and the Iowa Quality Beef Supply Network LLC last week signed a memo of understanding to establish a joint venture at the Iowa Quality Beef plant in Tama, Iowa, and Iowa Quality Beef reported that it will conduct an equity-membership drive this month and in July to raise capital to bring the plant up to the highest-possible quality and safety standards.
The joint venture will combine the management and marketing expertise of American Foods and supply quality and quantity of Iowa Quality Beef, according to American Foods chief executive officer Carl Kuehne and Iowa Quality Beef coordinator Wythe Willey. It will involve day-to-day ...
