OUR SUBURBAN garden generates an inordinate amount of plant debris and related rubble, regardless of the season.
There's always at least one pile of hedge trimmings or dead branches tucked somewhere out of sight, awaiting transport to the local composting center. Our truck bed is permanently etched with a fine layer of soil, and the huge green trash unit provided by our garbage company specifically for recycling compostable materials is usually full within a day of being emptied.
It's amazing, to me, that our relatively small city lot produces enough debris to warrant such drastic ...
