Article: S&P Assigns Preliminary Ratings to UFJ Tower's Japanese CMBS.

TOKYO -- Standard & Poor's today assigned its preliminary ratings to UFJ Tower Inc.'s JPY62 billion specified bonds (tokutei shasai) classes A through F due 2007. The bonds are ultimately backed by The UFJ Tokyo building located in Otemachi, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo. This is the first transaction rated by Standard & Poor's to utilize a specified share trust (a Japanese charitable trust, or tokutei mochibun shintaku), as regulated by Japan's Asset Liquidation Law.
