Article: Air Cargo at Memphis International Airport Up 58% Over First Four Months of 2001.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Enplaned air cargo volume at Memphis International Airport for the first four months of 2002 is up 58.4% over the same time period for 2001, according to data compiled by the Memphis- Shelby County Airport Authority.

The increase in Memphis International's enplaned air cargo traffic is due to a contract entered into in September 2001, between FedEx and the United States Postal Service, according to Larry Cox, president and CEO of the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority that manages the airport.
