LAS VEGAS, InfoComm Booth #23069 -- Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. today launches its touch-screen device for 50-inch PureVision plasma displays. The touch-screen device uses a high-speed infrared scanning system that operates at resolutions above WXGA (1280 x 768) to capture input from either a finger or dedicated handwriting pen in the same manner as a PC receives input from a mouse. The result is a highly interactive touch panel that opens a virtually limitless range of applications for plasma displays.
