High-performance speaker maker Boston Acoustics Inc. said yesterday that a deal to supply Chrysler Group with audio systems for upcoming vehicles will have a material impact for several years starting in 2005.

Boston Acoustics, of Peabody, will collaborate with Visteon Corp. to customize "premium" audio systems for Chrysler.

Allan Evelyn, Boston Acoustics' president, declined to comment on the deal's revenue potential.
