WASHINGTON -- Speaking to education officials from across the nation, Education Secretary Charles B. Zogby today showcased Classroom Plus, Pennsylvania's first-of-its-kind tutoring-grant program for children who are struggling in math and reading. Classroom Plus provides parents up to $500 to purchase after-school tutoring for eligible children.
"Pennsylvania is a national leader when it comes to ensuring all our children receive a quality education," Secretary Zogby said. "We got a head start on providing extra instructional opportunities for our children who need them most, and we're glad to share what we've learned with other states.
