Energy production during February 2002 totaled 5.6 quadrillion Btu, a 1.5-percent decrease compared with the level of production during February 2001. Production of natural gas plant liquids increased 9.8 percent; natural gas (dry) decreased 6.3 percent; crude oil increased 1.7 percent; coaldecreased 1.3 percent; and nuclear electric power decreased 0.9 percent, compared with the level of production during February 2001.
