Adrenal myelolipomas are rare, hormonally inactive, benign neoplasms composed of mature adipose and hematopoietic tissues. Gierke (1) first described these lesions in 1905, and Oberling (2) coined the term myelolipoma in 1929. Myelolipoma commonly presents as an isolated adrenal lesion, although myelolipomatous foci have been reported in association with various other adrenal pathologic conditions, including enzyme deficiencies, adrenal cortical hyperplasia, and neoplasms of the adrenal cortex. (3) We report an unusual case of adrenal myelolipoma associated with ganglioneuroma of the adrenal medulla.
