The Consumer Boards Division of Stora Enso Oyj, Stockholm, Sweden, is adopting a venture capitalist role through purchasing Activation Sweden AB, a Swedish company specializing in CD packages and associated packaging machinery. Terms were not disclosed.
Activation's name will be changed to Stora Enso Activation AB. Its target markets will be mainly manufacturers in the software and media industries. A business plan has been devised that would see the company achieve a substantial share of the global CD packaging market within five years.
