TORONTO -- Bruins coach Robbie Ftorek lost out to Phoenix' Bob Francis for the Jack Adams Award as the NHL's top coach, but the B's earned two measures of consolation at the annual NHL awards gala last night at the Toronto Convention Center.
Bill Guerin, who is expected to depart via free agency to Dallas, St. Louis or Detroit on or soon after July 1, was named the right winger on the league's second All-Star team. Teammate Glen Murray came in third in the right wing voting, which was easily won by Calgary's Jarome Iginla.
B's first-year defenseman Nick Boynton was named to the All-Rookie squad.
