KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Kansas City Power & Light Company (NYSE: KLT) announced today that it is extending its all cash, fully financed tender offer for all outstanding common and preferred shares of Kansas Gas and Electric Company (NYSE: KGE). The offer and withdrawal rights will now expire at 7 p.m., New York City time, on Friday, Sept. 14, 1990, unless the offer is further extended.
