GIBRALTAR could officially become part of the Midlands, the Sunday Mercury can reveal today.
The tiny British colony is currently unrepresented in the European Parliament because it has a population of just 30,000, and needs 125,000 to have its own Euro MP.
So the Mediterranean hotspot is bidding to become part of the landlocked West Midlands 1,200 miles away to increase its official population and have a say in Europe.
