IN WEST AFRICA, there's a saying: The more you eat, the more the appetite grows.
The mantra is well-suited for Afrikando, a restaurant in Belltown. But these days the saying refers to much more than the spicy Senegalese fare on the menu.
People are salivating over sports. International soccer, to be exact.
As the Senegal soccer team devours other teams in World Cup competition, Afrikando's owner, Senegalese by birth, is growing hungrier by the day.
Hungry for more wins. Hungry for the team to make history. Hungry for the homeland to shine in the global spotlight.
