ATLANTA--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--June 24, 2002

TBS Superstation has announced it is beginning production on AMERICA'S PRINCE: THE JOHN F. KENNEDY JR. STORY, an original movie based on Christopher Andersen's book The Day John Died.

Jacqueline Bisset, who previously played Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis in the 1978 movie The Greek Tycoon, will take that role once again for this project. In addition, Portia De Rossi (Ally McBeal) is set to play JFK Jr.'s wife, Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. Casting for the title role, as well as other leading characters, has not yet been completed.
