A lot of people have bemoaned the deterioration of Emerald Valley Golf Club in recent years.
Former University of Oregon golfer Jim Pliska wants to do something about it.
Pliska, who lives in Gresham and has been involved in the gasoline convenience store business for 20 years, has purchased the Creswell golf course from Arnold Palmer Golf Management for $2.2 million, and his first priority is to restore the condition of the course and recapture lost business.
