Every day more than a half-million children attend one of our nation's charter schools - and last week a unique assembly of educators and reformers gathered in Milwaukee to study and further the impact of these innovative centers of learning.
Earlier this year our nation and both political parties united under the belief that we must leave no child behind in our public schools.
For a decade, though, charter schools have believed that every child can learn - the result has been a movement that now numbers more than 2,400 schools nationwide.
