DEBEVOISE & PLIMPTON ISSUES STATEMENT ON THE ESTATE OF GRETA GARBO

NEW YORK, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Theodore A. Kurz, of the New York law firm Debevoise & Plimpton, attorneys for the Estate of Greta Garbo, issued the following statement in connection with an attempted attack on Miss. Garbo's Will by a person claiming to be an illegitimate child of Miss. Garbo's deceased brother.

Greta Garbo's Last Will and Testament dated March 2, 1984, which names her closest friend and relative, Gray Reisfield, as sole beneficiary and sole executor, was officially declared to be her Will on June 6, 1990 in a proceeding in the New York County Surrogate's Court.
