RESTON, Va. -- A team led by The Boeing Company and comprised of TRW Inc. , Rockwell Collins, and BAE Systems was selected by the U.S. Army yesterday to develop the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS), the first radio communications system designed for use by all U.S. forces.

Under the multi-year contract, valued at $2 billion if all options are exercised, TRW will assist Boeing by providing system integration, program management, radio network management software, vehicle installation kits, technical manuals and training.
