Jun. 26--Hewlett-Packard said Tuesday that it will revamp its entire consumer printer business, offering a line of sleeker, cheaper machines that the computer giant hopes will increase its share of the printing business.

The overhaul, which has been in the works for three years and cost $1.2 billion, will result in the launch of more than 50 new printers and image scanners by early 2003.
