Yeast-phase lysate antigens were prepared from six different isolates (T-58 and M-98: dogs; SL: sea lion; PB: polar bear; C: cat and S: soil) of Blastomyces dermatitidis. Comparitive studies were performed Using the lysate antigens in an indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA; horseradish peroxidase enzyme system) for the detection in 96 sera from dogs with blastomycoses (73), other fungal infections (12), and non-infected dogs (11).
