JAMES CITY COUNTY -- County and state officials joined private developers to turn the first spade of earth Tuesday for the 300-acre New Town, an office, retail and residential development.
Designed as a compact, pedestrian-friendly community, New Town is being developed by New Associates LLC, a joint venture of The Staubach Co., CC Casey Limited Co. and the Endowment Association of the College of William and Mary.
