Intervention with children and young people at an early stage can prevent emotional and behavioural problems from becoming entrenched and, therefore, minimise the long-term impact on young people's lives. Adolescent Services--Enfield Campus (ASEC) is a tertiary service based in Adelaide that provides day programs for young people aged 12-18 years with significant and serious mental health issues. This paper details the Day Program and the Hospital to Home Transition Team (HHTT) program offered at ASFC along with an explanation of the ASEC philosophy and approach to working with young people with mental health issues.
