The Massachusetts Bankers Association today issued a report to the Bay State banking industry with dozens of recommendations designed to prevent bank robberies and help apprehend criminals. A new informant program, a web site with photos of bank robbers, and branch signs asking customers to remove hats, hoods and sunglasses, are among the suggestions and recommendations as the industry reacts to a 64 percent year-to-year increase in bank robberies.
