Pam Costain was an educator, activist and staunch opponent of U.S. military involvement in Central America when she became director of the Resource Center of the Americas in 1988.
As she prepares to leave her job Friday, she remains those things. But she also has built an expertise in everything from removing neighborhood blight to children's bilingual education to the working conditions of Minnesota immigrants.
