EPA PLACES SCHOFIELD BARRACKS ON SUPERFUND LIST
SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) today added Schofield Barracks to the federal Superfund National Priorities List (NPL). Schofield is one of 23 federally-owned facilities that were placed on the NPL today.
"EPA will continue to work closely with the Army and the state of Hawaii to protect the health and the environment of the community at Schofield Barracks," said Daniel W. McGovern, regional administrator of EPA's western regional office. "The federal government is determined to investigate and clean up its own properties."
