Jun. 28--The Minnesota Department of Commerce has charged the State Farm insurance company, the largest auto insurer in the state, with unfair trade and claim settlement practices in handling more than 1,800 auto glass claims.

The allegations bring the controversial issue of auto glass costs to the forefront again. The Minnesota Legislature has taken up the issue of auto glass replacement twice in the past three years.
