Karen Blockhus of Minnetonka, Minn., has a husband and three young children.
Sometimes, she just needs to get away from it all.
After a home remodeling project that added an addition over the garage and family room, her place of retreat has become the new master bedroom. Besides a large, vaulted bathroom with a whirlpool tub and a separate, double shower, the main room is also a vaulted space, with a large walk-in closet and extra storage space underneath the window seat. The busy mother's favorite part of the master bedroom, however, is the sitting area.
