This undoubtedly will come as a shock to INSIGHT readers, but it has been suggested in some quarters that elected politicians actually may grant special favors to big campaign contributors. That suspicion has prompted a group of citizens, the California Republican Liberty Caucus, to establish a Website where whistle-blowers can report "any information relating to the investigation into Democratic California Gov. Gray Davis' alleged practice of trading campaign contributions for political favors/state contracts, etc."
