Election authorities are vowing to find and prosecute an unknown initiative-signature solicitor who forged the names of existing voters onto new voter registration cards and submitted them to the King County elections department.
The man being sought isn't a mathematics whiz.
On at least two of the fake cards, the forger put down 1986 birth dates, which would have made those ostensible voters too young to vote by at least two years.
"It may be one of those things that will go into a `World's Dumbest Criminal' book somewhere," King County elections superintendent Julie Anne Kempf said yesterday.
