As demand for films for and about Latino Americans grows, so does the overall market for Hispanic films. Ground Zero Entertainment, which launched its Latino label in January, is hoping to take advantage of an upsurge in interest in Mexican films that was spurred by Lions Gate's Amores Perros, according to Anthony Perez, owner and president of Ground Zero. His company has acquired the Mexican theatrical release Rito Terminal and is planning a U.S. theatrical release before bringing the film to video. Ground Zero also has released videos in the urban Latino genre.
