A PENSIONER adopted at birth has launched a desperate search to find his real parents in Ireland - even though he is nearly 70.
Retired military policeman Edward Armstrong, 69, only began tracing his roots two years ago when he realised that time was running out.
Edward said yesterday: ''It is my wish to find out who I really am before I die.
"I know my parents are most likely dead but I would love to be able to visit their graves.
"It would be great to know a little bit about them ...
