PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Two local companies were recently awarded construction contracts for the Abu Dhabi convention center. On award that involves general construction and architectural finishes for the convention center and associated palaces was let to SIX CONTRUCT. The cost to complete this undertaking has been pegged at $67,000,000.
A second contract was granted to EMIRATES TRADING AGENCY (ETA). According to the terms of this award, ETA will be responsible for building a kitchen and related facilities as well as completing the mechanical, electrical and plumbing works. The project cost has been estimated at $106,000,000.
