Middle East Crisis Provides `Bonus' For Norwegians

LONDON - Norway, which had been anticipating solid increases in oil production this year, stands to pick up a bonus in the form of the higher prices created by the Middle East crisis.

"We were expecting an increase in the price for the third and fourth qaurters," said Egil Helle, a spokesman for the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy in Oslo. "But, of course, because of what has happened in the Middle East, the oil price today is higher than we expected."
