United Farm Tools Buys Mohawk Equipment
Eight months after it purchased United Farm Tools, Lawson United Corp. has acquired Mohawk Equipment Co. of Temple, Texas, from its parent company, Material Transportation Co.
The acquisition was the result of a desire to expand the UFT line of 4-ft. to 7-ft. rotary cutters to a full line ranging from 4-ft. to 20-ft. rigid and folding units.
"Combining Mohawk with our line of cutters, shredders, and estate mowers will give us the broadest line of cutting equipment of any manufacturer in the industry," said President and CEO Sam Lawson.
