LONDONERS spend an hour a day caught up in office politics, as bitchy emails, power struggles and even outright violence are increasingly turning workplaces into battlegrounds. The bill in wasted time and effort as workers fight among themselves is an astonishing pound sterling 7.8 billion, according to estimates by jobs' website reed.co.uk.
The threat of redundancy, increasing stress and longer hours are all combining to make destructive office politics ever more common, say experts.
Of 1,600 temporary workers polled by reed.co.uk, one in four say they have experienced office politics in every temporary job they have done. ...
